Midway during filming, Jerry Bruckheimer's assistant was dispatched to Music City Dvd store in Dun Laoghaire, County Dublin with a list of movies to buy. On the list were Excalibur (1981), Braveheart - Cuore impavido (1995), Lawrence d'Arabia (1962), and many more. Staff also made suggestions such as Waterloo (1970), Glory - Uomini di gloria (1989), Ran (1985), and Orizzonti di gloria (1957). These were intended to be viewed by Antoine Fuqua to get a handle on large scale battle scenes.
