In Ubriaco d'amore (2002), Robert Smigel plays a dentist. In real life, Smigel's father, Irwin Smigel, was a dentist who founded the American Society for Dental Aesthetics, and served as its president until his death in 2016. Smigel himself studied pre-dental at Cornell University before deciding instead to become a comedy writer and actor.
