The shot of Manfredi and Johnson emerging from the trap door at the beginning of the film is the same setup and lighting used for Sefton to escape at the end of the film. This is a demonstration of the out-of-sequence filming technique used in the industry to maximize time, effort, and money during production, even with big budgeted films.
