Initially the ice skating scene with Bobby Drake and Kitty Pryde went on a few seconds longer, ending on them actually kissing while being spied on by Rogue. Although that would've added a layer to Rogue's speech later about wanting the ability to kiss someone, director Brett Ratner nevertheless decided to cut that part out, primarily because he thought that then 18 year old Elliot Page (in the role of Kitty Pryde) "looks like a 12 year old!", as he puts it in the DVD commentaries, making the whole thing vastly improper.
