The rescuing ship shown is the HMD Dundas (F48) of the Royal Navy. It was an anti-submarine frigate, one of fifteen Type 14 Blackwood-class ships built from 1953 to 1958. HMS Dundas was commissioned in 1956 and scrapped in 1983.
