In the classroom scene early in the movie, Renate Richter is showing her class "The Great Dictator " by Charlie Chaplin which she calls a famous short film. The movie shows Chaplin's character Herr Hynkel dancing with a globe of the Earth, implying that the world would be safe in the Fuhrer's hands. "The Great Dictator " is actually a full length film released in 1940 as a parody and condemnation of totalitarianism and Hitler specifically. Obviously the moon nazis have edited the film to 10 minutes, removing all critical content, including the globe popping in Chaplin's face at the end on the dance sequence.
