Compared to Scooby-Doo e i Boo Brothers (1987) and Scooby-Doo e la scuola del brivido (1988), which used hand-painted cel animation, this one was digitally colored in-house at Hanna-Barbera. At times, limitations of the early computer system really show. This and Yogi e l'invasione degli orsi spaziali (1988) (which came before this one) were the only two movies in the Hanna-Barbera Superstars 10 series to use digital ink-and-paint.
