First collaboration between director Gore Verbinski and composer Hans Zimmer. Ever since then, Zimmer has composed the music for every Verbinski-directed film, except La cura dal benessere (2016). Even though Zimmer is only credited as music producer for La maledizione della prima luna (2003), he did actually compose the main themes for that film.
