This was the most expensive brand of bass guitars on Earth, made from extremely exotic woods and having advanced electronics. While the brand may not be well-known to the public, one of their custom-ordered models would be familiar to fans of The Who, whose bassist John Entwistle had one in the shape resembling a Gibson Explorer and with the letters for every note inlaid in abalone on the fretboard. As the setting in this movie is in a lounge-sized venue, chances are extremely slim that Valli's bassist would be able to afford such an instrument. For perspective, in 2018, a top-of-the-line Alembic bass costs thirty-six thousand five hundred dollars.
