In the opening sequence several of the deaths of the survivors from the first 3 films are shown however the first death shown in the sequence is that of Evan Lewis from Final Destination 2. This is a nod to the fact that it was the first death in said film that was one of the first feature films of David R. Ellis who repeated as director in The Final Destination.
