In Ace Ventura - L'acchiappanimali (1994) and in this film, Jim Carrey refers to Randall 'Tex' Cobb's character as an a**hole. In the previous film, Carrey says "Warning, a**holes are closer than they appear," as Cobb is smashing up Carrey's car in a spoof on the label "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear" printed on car mirrors. In this film, Carrey says to Cobb, "Stop breaking the law, a**hole."
