This movie, by following the franchise in chronological order, marks the second time C-3PO stays with the Lars, the first time being in Star Wars: Episodio II - L'attacco dei cloni (2002). But C-3PO is gold instead of gray, and does not remember Owen, due to his memory being wiped at the end of Star Wars: Episodio III - La vendetta dei Sith (2005).
