Elliot Page notes the opening credits are based in part on the blueprints of producer David Higgins' house. If Higgins and writer Brian Nelson hadn't been able to fund a soundstage shoot, they would have used his home as a budget-conscious backup. Patrick Wilson mentions Higgins does have a rock garden in the middle of his living room, but Page is unsure as to whether it conceals a porn-filled safe.
