Although it is never explained why Will and Neil's new girlfriends from the first film dumped them, it is implied that Neil's girlfriend, Lisa, dumped Neil because he was cheating on Nicole (who was also Neil's girlfriend at the time) behind her back with her, made worse by the fact that Neil lied to Lisa about Nicole dumping him, and this is made evident by the fact that, during the credits of the first movie, Neil and Lisa are at the airport after coming back from Greece and Nicole is there waiting for him, causing Neil to cowardly run away after noticing her. However, a deleted scene reveals that Neil dumped Lisa because he thought she was too simple-minded for him.
