After losing Best Picture and Best Director to Gandhi (1982) this year, Steven Spielberg would borrow many members of its cast for his own films: Amrish Puri and Roshan Seth appeared in Indiana Jones e il tempio maledetto (1984), Nigel Hawthorne would appear in Amistad (1997), Martin Sheen appeared in Prova a prendermi (2002), and Daniel Day-Lewis appeared in Lincoln (2012). In 1993, Spielberg finally won Best Picture and Best Director for Schindler's List (1993), which featured Ben Kingsley. Earlier that year, director Richard Attenborough appeared in Jurassic Park (1993). Attenborough put out his own film that year, Viaggio in Inghilterra (1993), which featured Debra Winger and fellow Jurassic Park cast member Joseph Mazzello. Attenborough, Mazzello, and Winger's husband Arliss Howard all appeared in the sequel, Il mondo perduto - Jurassic Park (1997).
