When Hercule Poirot (Sir Kenneth Branagh) invites Miss Mary Debenham (Daisy Ridley ) outside for a picnic so that he can interview her, he makes her write down her name and address. It is then pointed out that she is left-handed. (Actress Daisy Ridley is, in fact, left-handed in real life.) In the original novel, Poirot tried this on every passenger and all of them were found to be right-handed with the exception of Princess Dragomiroff, who refused to provide an exemplar of her writing.
