Kyra's mother suffers from Munchasen Syndrome by Proxy. This is a mental illlness, usually with mothers in order to seek sympathy or attention from people. There is much evidence at the funeral wake, pay attention to the conversations of the guests as the camera pans throughout the room: "several doctors, two years spent in bed, an unknown illness, the younger sister falling ill as well". Then the revealing video as evidence, and Kyra"s mother is wearing a red dress in order to remain the center of attention.
