Jerry O'Connell (Derek) and Laurie Metcalf (Mrs Loomis) would go on to play mother and son in The Big Bang Theory. They played Sheldon Cooper's brother and mother respectively. Sarah Michelle Geller (Cici) would also guest star on the show as herself.
