Steven Soderbergh is not bothered by bad reviews. He says as much after Lem Dobbs mentions his films have certain problems that, if addressed, could win over some of the bad reviews. Soderbergh also notes he'd rather have a character be underwritten than one who is overly explained. He notes he tends to "err on the side of less". Dobbs agrees that less is more, but that Soderbergh's execution is wanting.
