The only film of the franchise to have an original song in the opening credits (the second half of the Nightmare 3 - I guerrieri del sogno (1987) credits feature "Into the Fire" by Dokken and Nightmare 6 - La fine (1991) would open with "I'm Awake Now" by Goo Goo Dolls). Also the first to have a rap song in the ending credits.
