The Lone Gunmen (Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood, and Dean Haglund) from the original series were contacted about the possibility of appearing in an episode of the tenth season. Eventually they made a silent cameo in X-Files: Babylon (2016) dressed like cowboys as part of a drug-induced hallucination of Mulder.
