Former Arrow (2012) and Legends of Tomorrow (2016) showrunner Marc Guggenheim wanted Jensen Ackles to play the Arrowverse version of Bruce Wayne before Warren Christie was cast. Ackles would play Batman for the 2 part animated adaptation of Batman The Long Halloween.
