Tom Hulce (Henry Clerval) beat out Kenneth Branagh (Victor Frankenstein) for the title role of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in Amadeus (1984). The Amadeus role had previously been played on the stage by Tim Curry, who had played a Victor Frankenstein analog in The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975).
