Starling tracks the unique smell of the letter to Farmacia Di Santa Maria Novella, one of the oldest Pharmacies in the world, founded in 1612 by Dominican monks, and where the hand creme was allegedly made in the movie. Located in Florence as well, it is famous for its Almond Soap and many other mens and womens soaps, perfumes and skin care products. However, one cannot have them "hand engineered to someone's specifications". In the movie, Agent Benetti is making a copy of the security camera from "a perfume shop in Via Della Scala".
