Scar has many similaries to Prince John from the 1973 animated film Robin Hood. Both villains are lions and are jealous of their brother who are the king and get rid of them in order to take over their kingdom. However there is a difference. Prince John gets rid of King Richard by sending him on a so-called cruise while Scar gets rid of Mufasa by murdering him.
