Harvey Keitel's voice was dubbed by Roy Dotrice because Stanley Donen felt Keitel's Brooklyn accent was inappropriate for the film. Keitel was asked to come in and redub his lines with a more neutral accent but was either unavailable or refused to do so (accounts vary).
