The second season segment Il laboratorio di Dexter: Rude Removal (1998) was never aired on television due to the excessive use of (censored) profanity. Despite the ban, series creator Genndy Tartakovsky had shown this episode at animation festivals since at least February 1998. Following a 2012 Reddit AMA with Tartakovsky, in which he revealed that he still had the infamous episode, Adult Swim released the full episode online on January 22, 2013.
