David Alan Grier (Uncle Henry) and Queen Latifah (Aunt Em) both later starred in another adaptation of "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" by L. Frank Baum: The Wiz Live! (2015) in which they played the Cowardly Lion and the Wiz respectively.
