The film was in the news due to a funny incident. Raj Kapoor had heard alot about the film and decided to go watch the film. Be went to a private screening held in a Mumbai theatre. After 30 minutes of watching the film Raj Kapoor stretched his arms and yawned saying "ok chalo ab ghar ko, bahut ho gaya...". The film was so boring Raj Kapoor walked out.
