Based on the short story "Rain" by W. Somerset Maugham and the 1922 play by John Colton and Clemence Randolph. It ran for 608 performances, from 7 November 1922 to 31 May 1924, in New York at the Maxine Elliott Theatre, starring Jeanne Eagels.
