Rajkumar Kohli originally offered Jeetendra ,Anil Dhawan's role. But Jeetendra was well aware the footage would be less than all the other actors (Except Kabir Bedi's role). Jeetendra declined the offer. Finally Kohli offered him the snake's role and needed only 10 days from him. Jeetendra accepted the offer. Jeetendra would openly say the role was only average and he did it because of his personal relations with Rajkumar Kohli.
