The hangar blown up in the final scene, was originally erected in 1929 at the Opa Locka Airport, 11 miles north of Miami, to house the Goodyear blimp during its winter season in Miami. The US Navy airships Akron and Macon and the German Graf Zeppelin all made well-publicized visits to Opa Locka Airport.
