Matt Damon filmed his cameo as Linus Caldwell in one day. When the film's release approached, however, a petition emerged online calling on the filmmakers to cut his appearance from the movie because of anger over Damon's perceived ties to Harvey Weinstein. In the end, the cameo was not in the final film.
