Several military campuses across the U.S. were scouted as locations for shooting the film before the Valley Forge Military Academy and College (aka the Military College of Pennsylvania) in Wayne, Pennsylvania was chosen. These included Riverside Military Academy in Gainesville, Georgia; Culver Military Academy in Culver, Indiana; Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Virginia and Carson Long Military Academy in New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania.
