For the lead role, Aamir Khan had to continuously eat paan to maintain the brown red colour on his lips. The actor later revealed that he used to eat 100 pans every day, for the shooting and he had a Paan wala on the sets to give him paan. Overall, he ate around 10,000 pieces of paan. Wow! That is a lot of paan.
