Neil Jordan: [sympathy for a distressed nude young woman] During the scene where Louis and Claudia go on their first outing at Armand's theater, they see a young woman being terrorized and stripped naked by Armand's minions in the play. Then, Armand comes along, bites the woman, and leaves her to be fatally ravished by his minions. Louis feels discomfort and sympathy for the woman. This is pointed out by Armand in the next scene. In In compagnia dei lupi (1984), Rosaleen tells the film's fourth and final story about a female werewolf to the Huntsman, who had transformed into a wolf after she had accidentally shot him with his rifle. In Rosaleen's story, the female werewolf, who is harmless, was wandering around a village when she was shot by an unknown figure. Injured, she goes to a church and transforms into her human form. A priest sees the nude young woman when she reveals herself and feels sympathy for her. He nurses her back to health before she returns to her world through the village's well.
