Johnny Depp and Bill Murray have both portrayed Hunter S. Thompson and/or his alter ego Raoul Duke. Depp in Paura e delirio a Las Vegas (1998) and Murray in Where the Buffalo Roam (1980). Depp also starred in another Thompson-related movie, The Rum Diary - Cronache di una passione (2011).
