When asked if there could be a third movie, Writer and Director Ol Parker stated they wouldn't be opposed to it. "We'll find out if people want what we've given them. If it makes people happy - these are dark times, and if we can lighten their load a bit, then I'll take that", Parker said. Producer Judy Craymer also did not rule out another movie, but did admit that they'd have to speed up the process and not spend another decade prepping for a return: "I know it would have to be done much faster", she said, because otherwise, "we'll be quite old."
