The movie was originally meant to have a worldwide theatrical release on September 24, 2021, with Paramount Pictures being its distributor. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the theatrical release was canceled, and Netflix bought the rights to debut the movie onto their streaming platform. Russia was the only country to screen the movie in theaters.
