The theme of something hidden in plain sight is present in at least two plot points: the letter (an everyday note which is stamped with three ordinary-looking stamps worth collectively $250,000) and Carson Dyle (a mercenary murderer who pretends to work for the CIA; because he is first encountered in an office at the U.S. Embassy, Reggie, and by extension the audience, assume he is who he claims to be).
