Of the three films starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, this is the only film to not be distributed by Warner Bros. It was distributed by Sony under their Tristar Pictures label, while their previous film, Joe Versus the Volcano (1990), and subsequent film You've Got Mail (1998), were both distributed by Warner Bros.
