The scene where KC is talking to the children about the moon, he mentions the orbit and size of the moon. Both of those facts are completely true (as all facts are true by definition). There are real conspiracy theories regarding the moon similar to those KC proposes. The scientific explanation is that this is a fortunate coincidence.
