When "Passengers" was released on Blu-Ray in March 2017, a special edition case was exclusively released by Walmart which features a Blu-Ray disc of the 2013 movie "After Earth" included inside. A likely reason a copy of this movie was included in this limited edition case may be that the two films are very similar. Some comparisons: Both films are science fiction films produced by Sony/Columbia; both have a small number of cast members; and both film's plotlines begin when the main spaceship of each film becomes damaged in an asteroid field at the beginning of the films.
