Some 50 years after being afforded her career role as neurotic nun Sister Ruth in "Black Narcissus", Kathleen Byron would cameo in I miserabili (1998) as Mother Superior of the nunnery where Valjean and Cosette are sheltered for ten years - a role played in I miserabili (1978) by Byron's "Black Narcissus" castmate Flora Robson.
