The third film written or adapted by Oscar Winner William Goldman that was produced, filmed or released in 1996. The other films were "The Ghost And The Darkness", which after several years of delays and false starts was finally done starring Val Kilmer and Michael Douglas and "Absolute Power" starring Clint Eastwood (who also directed), Gene Hackman (the star of this film) and Ed Harris in which Goldman adapted David Baldacci's best selling novel.
