Eric Bana wasn't a fan of the Hulk comics that inspired the film, but he was a big fan of L'incredibile Hulk (1977), on which L'incredibile Hulk (2008) was based. Bana explained, "I was obsessed with the TV show. I was never a huge comic book reader when I was a kid but was completely obsessed with the television show."
