Quite a few actors from L'alba dei morti dementi (2004) crop up in this movie, for example, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Bill Nighy. Other similarities: both films have a pub and the ice cream Cornetto. Wright uses the same rapid zooms and cross-cuts, and the scene where Shaun jumps over a fence and collapses it is given a comic spin in this film, where Angel perfectly clears them and even somersaults over one.
