(at around 1h 45 mins) A moment that gave further evidence to support that Sharon Stone's character was indeed responsible for the murder of George Dzundza's character of Gus was hinted upon during the 'Break-up' scene between Nick and Catherine. As Nick walks into Catherine's home, he is seen looking at Catherine's computer that is printing out pages of her latest book 'Shooter' whose main antagonist is based on Nick. From Nick's P.O.V a fragment of paragraph is shown printing, that reads "Shooter raced into the...pounded the button for the...fly up the staircase, his breath...His partner's dead body lay...elevator, legs sticking out..." Although fragmented, this paragraph describes with detail George Dzundza's character's murder that takes place towards the film's climax. As the film's unknown killer's at this point m.o is announced earlier in the movie as using a method of murder described in one of Catherine's previously published novel's, it is unlikely that anyone else other than Catherine would have used this method to kill Nick's partner as her latest book has still not been published and was only completed within a short period of time before the final murder.
