The drawing room and staging at Agatha Christie's house in the final act strongly resembles the set used on stage of the The Mousetrap play earlier in the film. Christie's butler also matches many physical attributes and attitude of her fictional detective Poirot. In real life, Christie was known to strongly appropriate her surroundings and settings to inform elements in her fiction.
