Hitler calls Elsa a "female Jewish Jesse Owens." Owens was a black athlete who won four gold medals in the 1936 Olympics in Berlin in an especially embarrassing slap in the face to Hitler's assertions of Aryan supremacy, causing him to leave the medal ceremony.
